“photography is an art of observation. it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them”

Each and every one of us has a story to tell. No matter how your story starts or ends, it’s your story. And it’s your story to tell. A favorite thing I once heard my Grandma say while looking at her family was, “Look at this beautiful mess I created.”
Because life is just that, a beautiful mess.
As an artist I want to feel my images. I want to be able to look at the moments I have captured and be taken back to that very moment. I want to be able to hear the sounds, smell the smells and feel the love.
Through my lens, I want you to see that every moment -
big or small, calm or chaotic
deserves to be captured.
I want you to walk away with an understanding that no matter what those moments come with they are now a part of your story.
A story that is genuinely you.
“Don’t forget - no one else sees the world the way you do, so no one else can tell the stories that you have to tell.”
-Charles de Lint
a little about krissy as a christ follower, a wife, a mother + an artist.
I truly love being an artist and believe this is exactly what I was meant to do. I believe every turn, every up and every down, every wrong and right led me to where I am at today. My humble up-bringing has taught me the importance of giving back. I believe that photography is a gift given to me by the Lord and is meant to be shared. Moments become memories and sometimes that may be all you have left. I want to capture the love, the laughter and every moment in between because the realness of today is the memory that you will want to look back on tomorrow.
My inspiration through this journey has been my family. I married my husband in 2008 and we welcomed our first daughter shortly after in 2011. Our second daughter was born a short 13 months later, making us decide to wait a whole 5.5 years to have our third child, our son in 2018. We have lived in the same home in our wonderful neighborhood for 10 years. I have zero desire to move although there is nothing more that I love doing than re-decorating my home (monthly) room by room. This pretty much hasn’t changed since I was 5. I once thought I was going to be an interior designer. It is absolutely safe to say this is my husbands least favorite quality about me. I LOVE to shop and equally love to return things. It’a a terrible habit. I hate laundry but hate the dishes even more. I am crazy about my floors and probably sweep 15x day. I am slightly (okay completely) addicted to social media. Another bad habit. Chocolate, Italian food and yummy wine will always win my heart. But please, no pizza. I know, I’m crazy. My newest love is Essential Oils. My middle daughter made us believers when we learned nothing else helps her crazy mosquito reactions like oils. Thieves is my everything!!
So if you made it this far, we might just be meant for each other and I would love to chat and get to know a little more about you and your story.
